Meet Lady

Meet Lady!  She is a 14 pound puggle mix that came to us at the beginning of January.  Lady was an owner surrender at the shelter.  We soon learned that she was pregnant and expecting puppies any time.  About 2 weeks later Lady surprised her foster parents with 4 absolutely adorable tiny puppies.

Lady is probably about 1 1/2 years old.  We think that she is some sort of Puggle mix.  She is house-trained!  Lady is a sweetheart and loves everyone.  She has done her duty as a mom and is ready for her new home!  Lady loves children, cats, and other dogs.  She has a peppy personality and is the first to jump on your lap.  She will make someone special a great pal and companion for life.

Lady's adoption donation is $150 which includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations, deworming, heartworm test, heartworm prevention, and flea and tick prevention.  If you would love to give Lady the home she's always deserved, please review the information below!

Dog Adoption Guidelines:

You must fill out an application to be considered for adoption. You can fill out an application at www.forthepets.org/adoption.htm or email to humanesociety@murray-ky.net for an application.

It is not a "first come" process; we try to "match" the dog with the family for a FOREVER home. We process all applications at once and take the dog off the site, place on adoption pending status until a decision is made. If a suitable home is not found, the dog returns to active status.

The dog adoption process can take about two weeks; we are a small group of volunteers who have full time jobs.

We do not fly or ship our dogs due to heat/cold concerns and safety issues. If you are willing to fly out AND fly the dog back in the cabin (size restrictions) with you, that would be considered.

If you apply to adopt a dog and are chosen, you must come to Murray, KY to pick up the dog and fill out the paperwork in person.

We do adopt out-of-state, but we do not transport.

We can't provide individual "meet and greet" sessions for each applicant. If chosen to adopt, you will have time to visit with the dog before signing any paperwork and will not be committed to adopt if you choose not to at that time.
