Bobby (OPIN) Golden Retriever & Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix Stamford, CT

ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 2013!

Hi! I’m Bobby! I am only one years old, but I am fully grown. Are you wondering how I got so beautiful and BIG? It’s because I am a mix between a Golden Retriever (that’s where I got my beautiful long hair from and my unmatched fetching skills), a Weimeraner (that’s why my foster mom calls me shadow sometimes- I follow her everywhere! AND my energy! I like exercise, but I get tired quick because of my big body), and a Staffordshire (that’s where I get my love of people and my muscular body!) I like to think I am the perfect mix.

As you can tell from my description, my confidence is already rising in myself. I had a great family with a human mom, dad, and sister (5 years old) but they weren’t allowed to have me. They had to hide me in their apartment and I am way too big for that! I am 87 pounds. I didn’t meet any new people for the first 9 months of my life, so I can be a little nervous when I meet new people. Don’t worry though, I just take a second to warm up to you and then I promise I will be in your lap! It makes me sad when people are afraid of me because of my size. If they are afraid of me, it makes me think I should be afraid of them! So I would love to have an owner that knows how to handle me with confidence. Oh, I also LOVE other dogs. Like seriously, any other dog. They are all great. I share toys and food and anything they want! Right now, I live with two other dogs and two cats. I share my foster mom’s bed with my foster sister.

I really need a yard so I can get my exercise. I am too big to just be inside all day. Could you provide that for me? I promise I am really easy! I would just prefer to live in a place that didn’t have new people coming in and out every day. I prefer consistency in friends!
