Meet Cola (aka Charm)

Hello, my name is Cola and I am one adorable female pup!  My foster mom tells me I’m a golden retriever mix, have a great personality and an expressive sweet face.  I'm lucky because I'm in a fun foster home where I get lots of extra TLC. In my foster home I get to play with my foster family’s 2 great doggies.  They are very different types of dogs as one is a 13 years old male lab, and the other is a 9 month old female golden/shepherd mix puppy.  I get along with both of them, so my foster family tells me I’m past the puppy stage (completely house trained), but still have a lot of spunk, so I am approximately 1 to 1 ½ years old.  I also have two great kids that live with me and love the playtime with them too. It is great playing in the back yard. I love to play chase with both the dogs and the kids. Squeaky toys are my passion.  The kids and their dogs have been teaching me how to play fetch, chase, tug of war and we have been practicing walking on a leash. My foster parents have been teaching me to sit, shake hands and take treats gently from their fingers.  They say I’m a quick learner!  After all the active play, I love getting some special cuddle time with the kids, the dogs or my foster parents. I’m always ready for a belly rub!!

I love going on car rides with my foster family. Sometimes, I get to ride along to pick the kids up from school and that is a treat for all of us!  My foster mommy says when I get adopted, my new forever family may take me on more car rides to fun places like parks, maybe doggie school or even family trips.  I'm thinking that all of that would be fun! At bedtime, I am very good to go into my kennel “bed” and sleep soundly next to their puppy in her kennel “bed” and their older lab on his pillow. My foster mommy says that soon my forever family will come along to adopt me. She explained that adoption means I will be part of a loving family that I will spend my whole life with forever. I'm excited to meet my new loving family that will take care of me.  I’m happy because I can help take care of them too with my kisses, snuggles and endless affection.

I can't wait to meet my new family! I’m almost complete with my heartworm treatment and am excited to show my new family what an amazing doggie addition I will make for their home.  I'm hoping they have a backyard I can run around in, that they like taking me for walks and it would be great if they had another doggie or kids for me to play with. If they don't have another doggie, that would be ok too as that just means more attention for me!  I’ve not been around any cats to know if I like them or not yet.  Mainly, it's important that my forever family likes to cuddle, because my foster mommy says, even though I'm a medium size doggie, I could still be a lap dog. My foster family says to tell you that I'm great with kids (young & old), dogs (young & old) and love to chase squirrels, bunnies or anything that come into the yard. If you have any more questions, you can ask my foster mommy. I look forward to meeting you, forever family!

Love,

Cola
