Teddy West Highland White Terrier / Westie Plano, TX

Hello, my name is Teddy and I am the most handsome Westie Teddy bear you will ever meet!  I am friendly with adults and big kids. I am a mature guy so no puppy habits like chewing on the furniture or your new Jimmy Choo's.  I don't get up during the night to go outside!  In fact, if I am not outside working on my tan, I am inside my den.  I really like my den and don't mind spending time there.

 

I'm a smart guy and somewhat educated.  I finished Basic Training at PetsMart.  I can sit, wait, and come to my name.  I also know important words: "Time to eat; Are you hungry? Would you like a cookie?" Oh don't worry, I am not a picky eater!  I like kibble, soft food, carrots, broccoli, cheese, chicken, rice, canned salmon.  My foster mom puts fish oil on my breakfast so I'm a healthy hound, too.

 

I like to be as helpful as possible.  I help my foster sister with her kibble.  Girls are always worrying about their figures so I do what I can for her.  Of course, foster mom says it isn't necessary since she measures out portions and the girl is getting what she needs.  Then she mumbles something about chunky monkey.  I hope we don't get a monkey.  They just make noise like those nasty squirrels I like to chase.

 

I like to go for walks.  I am not very fast, but consistent.  When it is time to turn around, I don't pull or growl.  Here is a big plus for you: I don't like to be on the furniture or the bed!  I do like to be scratched and petted.  I behave very well at the groomers. The ladies there say they wish all pups were as good as Teddy.

 

I have eye drops every day and will always need them because of infections when I was younger.  I am not fond of them, but I tolerate getting my drops.  I know it helps now that I am older and didn't have good care before I came to LSWR.
