Niko (URGENT courtesy) Pit Bull Terrier & Labrador Retriever Mix Sherwood, OR

 Niko is a dream come true for any dog owner and he is hoping his new family will let him be theirs for the rest of his life! Niko is a 5 year old, Labrador/Pit Bull mix and is microchipped, UTD on vaccines and is neutered already. His current owner who loves him dearly is moving to Rwanda and sadly cannot take him with her so she is hoping to find him the perfect family for him to spend the rest of his life!

Niko started out as a foster dog and wiggled his way into the heart of his foster and soon after it became his home. Niko has lived in small apartments downtown, making trips to work with his owner daily, but would love a big house with a yard too! Niko also loves other dogs, he is quick to be the submissive one and loves to play with canine friends. Niko would be okay in a home with cats, but has sometimes been afraid of them (haha!). Niko hasn’t been around children much but has been taken on walks by kids and does great. The only concern is that he may get a little too excited around smaller children and knock them down. Niko also loves to be a jogging partner, loves to cuddle and some of his favorite things include peanut butter, nylabones, fetch and hiking!

Here is a little bit from his current family about his great personality:
“Niko is the sweetest dog I have ever known. He is very sensitive and loves to cuddle and be cuddled. Say no to him, and he'll look like he's ready to cry. He's eager to please and loves to be part of the family. He loves fetching a tennis ball, and going on hikes or jogs. He is the perfect jogging buddy. If he knows the route, we can sprint full speed and he stays in sync with me the whole way. His intimidating physique makes him a great night time jogging buddy, even though he would never hurt a fly. He is also a very good communicator, though he rarely ever barks. He will talk (it sounds as though he were trying to form words) to you when he needs to go out, and when he is hungry or thirsty he will pick up his bowl and drop it. He loves having a regular routine. For example, every night at 9pm he walks up to me and yawns loudly to tell me it's time to go out to pee.”
