Screech came in with 15 other cats in January 2013. He isn’t quite sure why he ended up here but he would really love to find a place where he can have a forever retirement home. He may need some extra love and care. He is a senior kitty at about 10-13 years young (don’t let him catch you calling him old!). This makes his adoption fee $35! We also have a Senior for Senior program (Senior Citizens who are 65+), dropping the fee to only $25.

Don’t let his age fool you, though. Screech is full of personality and if you met him in person, you would understand why. Screech can be cranky and voice his opinions at times, just like any older soul. But, he is SO much fun and likes to explore his surroundings, play with toy mice, string toys and loves getting treats every now and then. He also loves head scratches! And, not surprisingly, his favorite time of day is feeding time. He’ll meow at you as soon as he sees the can or bag of food.

This older gentleman came from a home with other cats and we think he would do well in a home with one other cat who is on the calmer side of things or even older just like him! He also does well with dogs, even cuddled up to our test dog and became quick buddies! He has seen all his old friends go to their new homes, but he is still here and wishes someone would come by to meet him so he can show them just how awesome he is.

Screech is also highly intelligent and learns quickly. He always seems to be thinking. Despite all the action going on in the shelter environment, Screech is fairly relaxed and happy to meet new people. His personality is constantly shining through, making us confident he would do well in a quiet home environment and love to sleep on the comfy couch or bed with you.

Call or come by to help make Screech’s wishes come true.
