SENIOR ALERT: SQUIRT is a 13 year-old AND 4 pound Maltese mix whose owners released him to a high kill shelter. It's hard to imagine how anyone could do this to such a sweet dog, one who has been a loving, loyal companion for so many years. Sadly, Shelter workers often see a loyal companion of advanced age abandoned to certain death. with a cold note euthanize them. Animal Alliance could not bare to see this healthy dog that has so much to offer spend his senior years locked in a cage. SQUIRT is a doll, loves people and he is good with other dogs. Seeing SQUIRT running around one would think that he was just a puppy. Adopting a senior dog is an act of love that is returned a million fold. SQUIRT captures the heart of everyone he meets, and we are so happy to give this special dog a chance to find a family that will love him and ever abandon him again.This pet is spayed or neutered in accordance with our strict policy wherein all animals are altered prior to adoption. This pet is dewormed, current on vaccines, and started on monthly flea/tick and preventatives.
