Kobie's fosterer writes...

Kobie is a warm, well-trained dog who is friendly and energetic. He was adopted from our program when he was just a pup. Unfortunately, his owner recently passed away, so we've taken him back to help him find a new home.


At home with us, Kobie has been well-behaved from the get-go. He enjoys food and treats, but doesn't beg at the table. He never jumps on furniture (though he does like to sit on the couch, if invited). He's thrilled to sit on a towel near people, especially near the table or next to the bed. He likes getting pets and love.


Kobie loves to go on walks, and he can even run alongside as you jog (for a short distance, at least). He'll fetch a tennis ball and return it quickly. (A bonus - he's less slobbery than a lot of bigger dogs!)


He's OK with a short walk (half-a-block) first thing in the morning, if necessary, and gets his work done quickly.


Kobie gets anxious when left alone--not surprising, after what he's been through--so he's looking for lodgings with someone who is home most of the time. He'd love to be your 'one and only'; but would be willing to share your affections with another small, calm canine companion.
