Adorable Scooter is looking for a family to love him!!  He and his mother Mary Kay were turned into the shelter together.  He is 2 years old and weighs 10 pounds.  As far as we can tell, Scooter is a purebred Yorkshire Terrier.  He is a very sweet dog, just a little timid, but warms up quickly.  Scooter is not a rambunctious dog, he is much more quiet and low key.  He would do well in an apartment or home.  Scooter gets along with other dogs and cats and we think would be fine with dog savvy children.  Don't wait to send in your application and email for him, we know he will not be available for adoption long!

Adoption Fee: $300
The adoption fee is non-negotiable. We are a not for profit rescue that operates solely on our adoption fees. We receive no outside funding from the county or state. In order for us to continue to save older and/or medically needy dogs, our adoption fees need to be high enough to cover their medical costs of getting the animals ready for adoption.The average stay for a dog at Rescue Farm is 21 days. The average cost of an animal during this time is $350. This includes medical care, food, shelter, exercise, spaying and neutering, and unlimited love.

• At least one set of Vaccines
• Rabies Vaccine
• At least one Worming
• Heartworm test
• Heartworm Prevention
• Flea Prevention

YOU WILL BE CONTACTED BY THE EMAIL LISTED ON YOUR APPLICATION SO USE ONE YOU CHECK FREQUENTLY!!

Once we receive your application, we will contact you to determine if your family is a good fit for the dog.

Then we will arrange for you to meet the dog. All adoptions/meetings are done by appointment only!

If you like the dog when you meet it, you can adopt and take it home with you immediately.

We CANNOT hold dogs for adopters longer than a couple of days, as we want the dogs in their new loving homes as soon as possible.

Adopters are required to come to the rescue to adopt. We do not ship or transport animals.
