This sweet girl was picked up as a puppy by animal control as a stray and taken to the Houston city shelter. She was scheduled to be killed the next day because she had a severe case of mange (the noncontagious type), which is a totally treatable condition. Corridor Rescue stepped up to the plate and the fortunate dog was soon on her way to the vet. She was in misery. Although very, very skinny, her face and legs were badly swollen and her skin was cracked, crusty and bleeding in various places. She received the needed medical care and went on to her foster home where her foster mom has spoiled her rotten and loved her very well. She has a bright future ahead of her now!

Meet Teyha. Even with all her past troubles, she wags her tail all the time and wants so much for you to love her.  When she first came to her foster home at 5 months (03/2011) she weighed a meager 15 lbs. At about 2.5 yrs old (4/2013), Teyha is now a beautiful healthy girl weighing in at about 55 lbs!

Teyha is smart and eager to please. She knows basic commands and is very responsive to correction and comes running with tail wagging when called.  Though she can be a little timid when first meeting new people and dogs, she quickly warms up and loves nothing more than to be with her people and playing with the other dogs in her foster home.  Teyha also gets along well with cats. She is an active girl that loves to fetch and retrieve her toys for you.  Though she doesn’t bark much, she is very vocal and loves to “talk” to her foster parents a lot when she’s happy.
