Karlene is super friendly, so we assume she was an abandoned pet with indoor/outdoor access.  She was rescued with two kittens living close to a busy road in NE Philly.  Besides being a gorgeous classic calico, Karlene is very sweet, gentle, and loving, a lap kitty.  She’s a talker, too, almost Siamese in how she expresses herself.  After a month in foster care, Karlene actually would run when a door opened….as though she wanted nothing more to do with going outside.  She was happiest laying on a soft cat bed on a chair or cat tree--looking outside.

Karlene was not comfortable living with all the resident and foster cats in her foster home.  She was scared at first and marked her territory but eventually calmed down.  Her foster mom feels that her  purrfect home will be as an only kitty and in a house with space to roam versus a small apartment.  She may also be OK with a small dog companion.  

This precious girl is now fully vetted – tested negative, spayed, with rabies and distemper vaccinations.   She just needs to find her purrfect person or family and a home where she can be safe and loved.
