This little three-year-old 6 pound Maltese really is a bundle of cuddles and joy. Willie loves to go on long walks and then cuddle up on your lap or the couch for the rest of the day. Willie would prefer a home a quiet home with a couple or single person.   For a small dog, Willie is very active and loves to go on 1 - 2 hour walks every day!  Like most small dogs Willie has a tendency to be leash aggressive towards other dogs that are interested in him he so he needs a family who is willing to take him to training classes and spend the time so that he can be comfortable walking and not feel the need to protect himself.

 Willie spends his days at doggy daycare with his foster mom where he's learning to get along with other dogs off leash. His ideal home would be by himself, with another small dog, or one elderly dog as he is not very interested in playing with many other dogs. Willie would be fine in a house with cats although because he's rather timid about his face being touched he would not do well in the house with kids under 10. This little man can sometimes take a while to warm up but once bonded with you he will never want to leave your side and will always want your warm lap to suggle in. He's fully potty trained and is great on leash.  His adopters would need to enroll him in the basic puppy training class as he does not know that many commands but is working on learning them in his foster home.
