Prancer is a gorgeous chestnut color with beautiful golden eyes!  He's much too thin right now, weighing about 45 pounds.  But he will begin to pick up weight now that he will eat regularly.  Prancer is believed to be a chocolate lab and golden retriever mix.  He seems to be a very good dog, even if he wasn't sure what this "shelter" business is all about.  There are lots of dogs here, but he has a space of his own for now until he gets comfortable.  And there is a big bowl of food and a fresh bucket of water just for him.  Wow!  This might be okay except that he doesn't have his own people to rub his ears and take him for walks and give him treats.  Maybe by the new year, he can have a home of his own.  He's just 2 to 3 years old, so he has a long time to be with his new family.  Who is going to come for him?
