Bagel the Beagle is looking for her new home.  She is a wonderful dog that enjoys the company of both humans and animals.  She is five years old, up to date on vaccinations and spayed.  At my house she has played with both small and large dogs and fit into the group right away.  If you do have another animal please schedule a meet and greet at the shelter to make sure everyone is happy.   Bagel is overweight and that is becoming more of a problem in the canine community.  People food can make great treats, but making healthy choices are important and small amounts of chicken, string cheese, or green beans can make a great treat that are low fat.  Bagel will need to get back to her ideal weight gradually and your vet can help you figure out how to do this slowly and safely.   A gradual reduction in food and a gradual increase in exercise will be the best for her overall.  She is a great dog with a wonderful personality who is excited to meet her new family.
