Stinky (been here 6 mos!!) American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Newport, NC

Stinky got his name because he is so STINKING cute!  A sweet guy with lots of energy who needs a family that will give him lots of love and exercise!  He is working on his leash manners and loves to hang with his human friends!  Stinky is 3 years old and loves to give his wonderful kisses!  Very friendly and will make someone a wonderful pet if given a fair chance. Come to the shelter and visit with Stinky and give him a chance at a great life that he deserves and needs...a FOREVER home.  He should be named Sweetheart because he is so loving!


His family brought him to the shelter  late Nov. because they could no longer provide for him. Very sad.  Owning  a pet is expensive so make sure you are aware and prepared before you adopt...they are so worth every penny and minute you invest with them!!!  A lifetime of joy and unconditional love...priceless.


Please remember that dogs require lots of love, exercise, good food along  with  adequate medical care.  Flea and tick prevention is really important.  Just as important is heartworm prevention.  Heartworms are fatal if not treated but easily prevented with a once a month tablet.  Please consider this as you think of adopting a dog. 


There is special paper work that will need to be completed prior to adopting this precious fella.  We love all of our dogs and want to make sure our "Bully Breeds" go to homes best suited for them!!


The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5, Sat. 10-2, and on Sunday during the spring and summer from 11-3.  Adopt a homeless pet and save a life!!
