Cooper Pit Bull Terrier & Boxer Mix Chicago, IL

The first thing most people notice about Cooper are the scars across his muzzle, but after spending a few minutes with this fun-loving boy, it's clear he isn't impacted by the rough start he had in life and he'd much rather people spend their time tossing him a toy than feeling sorry for him!


At about a year old, Cooper is a playful and spunky pup who is living in a foster home with two other dogs and a couple feline friends too. He also goes to doggie day care a few days a week to romp around. Outgoing with everyone he meets, Cooper could certainly go to a home with another dog-friendly canine. It's hard to tell from his photos, but this handsome fella' currently only weighs 40 lbs.; he certainly will fill out a bit but we anticipate he'll be a medium sized adult. 

Thanks to a generous grant from Animal Farm Foundation, we are able to provide a $100 training incentive to Cooper's adopters. This training will help ensure that Cooper has a smooth transition to his new home and will also foster the bond between Cooper and his guardians. He is super smart and did very well in his basic obedience class. He knows sit, wait, and has almost perfect down and paw. 



As with all One Tail at a Time dogs, Cooper has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $200 helps offset our medical costs and all inquiries and applications can be sent to Beth at elizabethotat@gmail.com.
