American Staffordshire Terrier Mix: An adoptable dog in Metairie, LA

MEET STAR! This one year old, 43lb female is DOG FRIENDLY and has never met a stranger. :) She absolutely adores people and kids. Star is excellent on a leash and enjoys exploring with her foster family. She's also great riding shotgun in the car. She is a wonderful companion and friend. Star passes the time by playing fetch; swimming, laying on her fosters feet and paling around with her fur friends.

Star would love a big back yard to run and play in or a forever home that will take her out for daily exercise. Star has a unique brindle coloring that is reddish blue and gorgeous! She is best suited for a home without cats, because her prey drive is strong. She's currently living with large and small dogs, however we'd love for her to have a big dog companion to wrestle with. Star is heart worm positive and will begin treatment this month. Save-An-Angel will make sure Star is good and healthy before being adopted, however applications are being accepted now!! Get yours in and be first in line to adopt this loveable, snuggable girl. :)

Here's what Star's foster has to say about her: "Star is so sweet, she cuddles with me all the time and she plays with all of my dog's from Chi's to a Mastiff mix. She got her name because we were walking at night and I looked at her and said check out those bright stars chick and she got so excited and so spunky it was meant to be. Her personality just shines too. She is doing good on a leash, potty trained, crate trained (She is normally out unless we have to leave) and knows basic commands. She snorts too! It is the cutest thing!! It is not a loud snort but very quiet. Very lady like :) She is going to make someone very happy!!!"
