Cinnamon Doberman Pinscher Barrington, IL

Cinnamon is a lovely red cropped and docked girl that was surrendered to a shelter when her family could no longer care for her. She is a very active, affectionate, and playful girl. In her foster home she has been quickly learning some obedience commands and is housebroken. She loves both men and women. She will bark when a stranger is at the door, but greets guests cheerfully when they are invited inside. She does not bark at the neighbors or at neighboring dogs. She will go in a kennel but is learning to be patient and not whine since she just wants to be near someone. She is good with her foster's 12 & 13 yr old children and likes to offer her paw to them. She does chew  when she is anxious, so needs to be provided appropriate and safe toys to keep her busy. She has been extremely eager to please ,  comes immediately when called, and has been a very fast learner. She loves the company of her foster mom's 3 dogs and would do best in a home where she has a friend. She shows a lot of  friendly interest in other dogs, but no aggression ever.  Her previous owners told the shelter she stayed confined to a porch 8 hours a day and did fine.
