Molly Rae had seven unplanned puppies (4 boys and 3 girls). Their human family brought the puppies to a rural high-kill shelter when they were weaned and surrendered them. When the shelter staff asked them if they were planning on keeping Molly Rae and getting her spayed. They said that their neighbors had threatened to poison the dogs because the dogs were "bringing disease to their family." In order to save all of the dogs' lives, they surrendered the entire family to the shelter.

This beautiful mama needs to find her own special someone to love. She is SUCH a sweetheart. Molly Rae isn't the hyper-Lab type - she is more laid-back, but will still play. At night, she likes to snuggle in her person's lap for some lovin'. Molly Rae can be a little possessive about her people. But she's not aggressive about it, just a warning growl if another dog is getting too pushy.

Because she is still young, she might need some work on her basic obedience. Molly Rae would do well in a home where she has someone who will take her out for daily walks and/or trips to the dog park.

The adoption fee for this dog is $300, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter. Our adult animal fees range and are based on: fees we pay to shelters, vetting costs, transport costs, and boarding costs. Some animals cost more than others to rescue, so that is why our fees range from $275-$350.
