Mona is a tuxedo'ed sweetheart! Found as a stray living on the beach in Gig Harbor, she is ecstatic to have human company. She is more interested in interacting with humans than with other cats or toys. She will approach you when called, sit in your lap or snuggle up when being held, extending a paw towards your neck as if to hug you. Her foster mom describes her as playful, vocal, and very interested in getting pets and spending time on laps.
She did fine with a cat-experienced six-year-old child, and would probably do well in a house with children who respect cats. With the appropriate introduction, she might be fine with another, non-aggressive cat, as long as it didn’t take away from her special time with you. She will likely greet visitors and invite them to spend time with her. Life on a beach was probably difficult for her, and Mona is definitely looking for a safe, warm, dry place...
