Thelma ~ Read my story! ~foster home 6/18 Black and Tan Coonhound Dearborn, MI

Thelma is an attractive, high-energy 3-year-old coonhound who did well in her behavioral assessment with our certified dog trainer, although we think she'll be best in a household without cats or small dogs. This sweet and gentle dog was found tied to a pole in Shoals, Indiana without water and so skinny she could barely stand. Her cries for help could be heard from a quarter of a mile away. She was surrendered by her "owner" and brought to Michigan for recuperation.


Thelma spent quality time in a foster home with one of our dedicated volunteers, so we can let you know how she acts in a household setting. We know she tends to dig under fences, so she'll need some supervision out in the yard. But who can blame her, after what she went through? Thelma weighs 40 lbs., and she's been spayed and is ready to become part of your family!
