Hi! My name is Louie and I’m a black and white 12-year-old male Labrador Retriever and as you can see, I’m a tad bit overweight. Okay maybe a lot overweight (Doc says I must lose 10-15 pounds!) but I’m completely motivated to lose the weight and win the title of the shelter’s Biggest Loser and maybe even your heart!  I was brought to the shelter when my owner’s could no longer care for me.

I hadn’t seen a vet since 2011, so the nice people at Malibu Pet Companions took me to see one. That’s where the doctor said I have to lose weight so they started me on the Biggest Loser program to lose 20 pounds, added some supplements to my food and told me to take it easy on walks for now. I’m also on medicine for possible seizures although I haven’t had one while I’ve been here at the shelter.

I’m housebroken, good with other dogs – both big and small and I’m really not all that interested in kids. In 2009 I had cancer in my toe and they removed it but don’t worry it doesn’t bother me.

I’m a wonderful, happy boy and each time you look at me, you’ll see the sparkle in my eye and the wag in my tail.  Consider adopting me if you believe we can achieve losing weight together!  Wouldn’t it be fun to take this on together?!
