Meet Cheyenne

Meet CHEYENNE! She is a gorgeous Australian Shepherd/Husky mix.  She is probably around 1 1/2 - 2 years old.  CHEYENNE was found as a stray and brought to our local animal shelter.  Her owners were located, but did not want her back.  We can't figure out why, she is great!

CHEYENNE loves to run and play.  She has one blue eye and one brown eye and is truly unique.  She will thrive in an active household, or with someone who loves to go for walks.  This pretty little girl is just a delight and will make a great family pet!

CHEYENNE's adoption donation is $150 which includes:

spay

microchip

up to date vaccinations

deworming

flea and tick prevention

What a deal!  If you are interested in adopting CHEYENNE, please review the information below.  We can't wait to hear from you!

Dog Adoption Guidelines:

You must fill out an application to be considered for adoption. You can fill out an application at www.forthepets.org/adoption.htm or email to humanesociety@murray-ky.net for an application.

It is not a "first come" process; we try to "match" the dog with the family for a FOREVER home. We process all applications at once and take the dog off the site, place on adoption pending status until a decision is made. If a suitable home is not found, the dog returns to active status.

The dog adoption process can take about two weeks; we are a small group of volunteers who have full time jobs.

We do not fly or ship our dogs due to heat/cold concerns and safety issues. If you are willing to fly out AND fly the dog back in the cabin (size restrictions) with you, that would be considered.

If you apply to adopt a dog and are chosen, you must come to Murray, KY to pick up the dog and fill out the paperwork in person.

We do adopt out-of-state, but we do not transport.

We can't provide individual "meet and greet" sessions for each applicant. If chosen to adopt, you will have time to visit with the dog before signing any paperwork and will not be committed to adopt if you choose not to at that time.
