Bellatrix is a smooth coat Chihuahua or Chihuahua mix. She has a fawn and white coat and deep brown eyes. Her dark pigment is a beautiful contrast to her light coat and gives her a look of natural eye liner. She has been affectionately compared to a meerkat. She was born January 11, 2011, making her 2 years old, and weighs 9 pounds 13 ounces as of 02/20/13. Bellatrix is fully grown.

Only a few weeks after momma Bellatrix was surrendered, she whelped 5 puppies. Now momma and puppies are looking for forever families where they will be loved as spayed/neutered companion animals.

Bellatrix arrived very fearful but overtime she has really come around. She is now curious about visitors to her foster home and has even begun seeking attention from them. Bellatrix love to eat, chew bones, carry her toys about and especially loves to sunbath indoors by the windows. Most of all, she loves attention and snuggles from her people. But, she is not demanding of attention and is a low-maintenance pup. She has been around (gentle) children as young as 3 years old and did fine. She gets along with other dogs and cats, too. Bellatrix will use a dog door but may need additional housebreaking guidance.

Bellatrix has been given a clean bill of health. An adoption fee of $85.00 will help fund our rescue efforts, including the following veterinary care she has received.
