Checker Shepherd Mix Evergreen, CO

Checker is a 10yr Shepherd X and is a very special senior. He is about 65lbs. Don't let his age fool you, Checkers has a ton of life left in him! Checkers was originally left at a shelter by his owner. He is older and had a skin problem. He really had little hope of getting out. Now he is safe and ready to move on with his life. Checkers is a bigger guy, but your typical gentle giant. He loves people and is just an all around good boy. He is very mellow and rolls with just about anything. He likes to go for walks as well as lounge around on his dog bed. He does great with the other dogs in his foster family and really doesn't mind what they do. Whether it is the playful young ones or the older grumpy ones, he is fine. Checker did have a skin condition which has since been treated. It is not contagious and he is on oral medication. He may have to be on the medication for a long time, but it is very minimal and he is great about taking his pills.  Checker is a very well behaved, handsome, sweet boy who has a lot of spunk and a lot of love to give. All he needs now is a place to spend the rest of his golden years.
