Meet Silly!  Isn't he adorable!!!  He came into the shelter Oct. 11, 2012 by someone that found him during the Seafood festival in Morehead City.  He is such a handsome and loving boy. We guess that he is around 9 months old and full of love and playfulness. He is good with other dog too.  Please know that dogs are considered to be a puppy until they are around 2 years old and that pups require a lot of time, patience, and consistent training on your part as the new owner.  They are so worth it though...they better they will be for you and everyone they interact with.  Silly is going to be a very big boy once he is fully grown so make sure you are aware that he will need room to run and play in a lot.  Silly loves to be around his human friends and loves to give kisses too.  Come to the shelter and spend some time with this amazing boy and give him a chance at a great life in a loving ...

Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can multiply and be fatal if not treated.  Keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a  month heart worm and flea/tick prevention.  Owning a pet is an extra expense with the proper yearly vetting, monthly preventatives, good food, toys, training and grooming if needed so please make sure you are ready for the lifetime commitment before you adopt...you owe that to the dogs. They are so worth every penny and minute you invest with them and will give you a lifetime of joy and unconditional love...priceless.

The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-2, 2-5, and on Sat. 10-2.  Adopt a homeless pet and save a life.  If you can not adopt come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER homes.
