1/21 update: She has been fostered with us about 2 months & is fantastic. She has not had any accidents at all. She is great with the other dogs. We have a grouchy senior who Jenny is submissive to. She is great at reading the cues from the other dogs as to who wants to be left alone & who might be wanting a pal. She is not super affectionate with our male, but has recently started cuddling up & letting him use her for a pillow. She is very calm in the house. When we are at work she stays in her bedroom & goes to it when you tell her to. She has never chewed anything up or bothered anything. Most days I find her snoozing in the recliner when I get home to let her out. Outside she occasionally plays with our male, but mainly when there is snow on the ground. She is an enthusiastic player when she does play, but our male is too & she might just be taking cues from him. The previous place she was at had a 4 ft. fence (as do we) & she jumped it during a thunderstorm, but has not jumped it since being with us; has not shown any interest to do so. We have had 1 storm since she has been here & she did shake during it, but did no crying or barking. We have 3 cats that she has been around (supervised) & although she watches them like a hawk, she has never went after any of them. She has shared my lap with two of them & although she did some cleaning of them, she was careful not to roll on them & did not try to hurt them. Maybe she has never been around cats & is trying to figure out what they are. If she is doing something we do not want her to, all we have to do is say "at-at" & she stops what she was doing. She does great on leash; no pulling or stopping. We have a 15 year old that she loves. He can hug & kiss on her & she will return the favor. We do not have any small kids & she has not been around any since she has been with us, but she is a pretty laid back dog & I would not think that it would be a problem. We feed all the dogs separate as we have 2 very eager eaters that will finish off their own & then take everyone's. She is fed in her bedroom & she is a very slow eater. We do give treats all together & you have to convince her to take hers. She is very gentle when taking the treats from you.

1/3: Jenny is happy & social; not too active. She does like to play in the snow. Does great with the other dogs & listens very well; not strong willed at all. She is not a chewer & is content laying on the couch most of the time. Not a barker. She is just an all around great girl! She is capable of jumping a 4' fence if scared by something or because she wants to get to her people. So if her people are inside the fenced area, it's a non issue.  She did it once at a prior foster home but hasn't attempted it at her current foster home.  She must be happy with the set up at this foster home. Seems like it's a minor issue, or non-issue if the foster/adopter has a 6' fence.  As far as cats go, seems to have a mild interest but so far hasn't made any attempts to harm.  Comes back when called if she's investigating cats.  And has shared foster mom's lap with cats without issue. Foster says: My cats do not do much running though. I am not sure how she would do if one ran past her. For more pictures of Jenny: http://pauleyjames.blogspot.com/

12/20: Jenny moved to foster care recently where she's living with other dogs and a cat.  Here's an update from her foster mom: She is a sweet girl. She does well with our dogs; takes their cues & backs off if needed. She does great on leash. She is pretty low energy; likes to be in the same room with people, but does not have to be sitting on them. She is curious about cats, but has just smelled them & let them be. She is house-trained & quiet. She is afraid of storms & wants to be next to someone during them, but only shakes; no barking or crying. She can jump a 4 ft. fence.

Bio: 10/13: Jenny is a lab mix, already spayed, very sweet and stable, dog safe. 7 years old.  DA2PPv booster and dewormed 10/16/12.  Tested negative for heartworms and started on Iverhard 10/17.
