Snoopy West Highland White Terrier / Westie Mix New Westminster, BC

This dog has been put through the mill, his original owner passed away then his next owner had a stroke a year later & was no longer able to care for him, in August 2012 he was diagnosed with diabetes & also has a 3/6 grade heart Murmur. He isn't on any meds for this condition yet but may need to be in future. He is only 9 1/2 years oldDespite what has happened in his life in the past year he has a great personality. Loves other animals & older children that understand dog behaviour as he has been around younger children & doesn't want to be hugged.
We would definitely consider a foster situation in a case like this. He needs to have someone give him insulin injections twice a day 12 hours apart & make sure he eats. (not difficult as he loves to do so)
Goes for long walks with the volunteers greeting everyone he passes.
 Very simple to take care of this fellow & easy to fall in love with, just difficult as a shelter dog for meds to be given 12 hours apart......
