Rover is a picture perfect little Beagle boy with a VERY sad story. He came to us from another shelter where he was going to be euthanized just to make space. When he got here, he had to be treated for a severe skin infection and had to stay in a kennel all by himself for three very long weeks. Rover missed being with other dogs SO much and would hardly even eat because he was so depressed spending his days all alone in isolation. When Rover's skin was all healed up we really thought that his troubles were over and promised him that he would find a home in no time. It was only days later that we found out that Rover had pulled a ligament in his leg and it was causing him to limp. Our Vet is very optimistic and feels that he will heal over the next few weeks, but we are scared that now Rover's chances of being adopted are slim to none. It's hard enough to find homes for sweet little Beagles with no issues at all, let alone one who may require a follow up visit to the Vet. We DON'T want to have to euthanize Rover and will do anything we can to save him, but our space and resources are limited. Please consider giving Rover the gift of a bright future after all the sadness he's been through.
