Sonar was found at the Food Lion in Newport.  Appears to have been well taken care of. Just a handsome and sweet boy!  You can not help but to smile when you look at Sonar...has a happy look on his face at all times.  He is very strong but once he releases his pinned up energy he is great.  He did wonderful at his 1st adopt a thon.  Loved all the other dogs and kids too.  Check out his video of him walked with Piggy.  Keeps his kennel clean and potties as soon as he gets out.  More than likely he is house broken or at least will be a quick learner. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated.  Please make sure to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping him on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention.  Make sure you are ready for the lifetime commitment before adopting your new family member and that is what they should be.  Owning a pet can be expensive with the proper yearly vetting, good food, monthly preventatives, grooming if need, toys, training, and so forth so please make sure you are ready. Having a pet will bring you and your family and friends a lifetime of joy and unconditional love.

The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5 and on Sat. 10-2.  Adopt a homeless pet and save a life.  If you can not adopt come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home.
