Dana German Shepherd Dog Etobicoke, ON

What a wonderful, sweet dog.  Dana is in great health and doesn’t seem her supposed age.  She’s gained weight and is a beautiful girl with a gorgeous, soft coat.  Of course, she doesn’t know it, and still thinks she should hide herself away, instead of taking pride in herself and her appearance (at least around people).  She’s confident with other dogs, and a bit too interested in small ones, but can be called off of anything with the quietest of “no’s”. 

 

Dana’s a joy to walk – happily trots along just beside you, and never pulls.  She’s very intelligent, and you can see her actively learning how to act from the other dogs around her – we’ve never had an easier dog to train. She is very sensitive and afraid of people, as can be expected based on her history… she clearly has learned to expect harsh treatment.  That said, she is also wants to be loved, and follows us around the house, just hoping for a scratch behind the ears (or likely, a snack). 

 

Dana would currently do best in a fairly quiet household, with people who will understand ‘dog language’ and have some patience with her.  She’s had a tough life and deserves a caring forever-home with people that can spend time with her.

  Dana is approx 7 years old and was used as a breeder dog where she was kenneled most all the time
