Selma Saluki Mix Barrington, IL

Check out Selma's tail... and her tale as well!  Selma was born in Afghanistan, and her previous owner (a soldier) brought her back with him to America.  Sadly the soldier fell on financial hard times once home after serving his country, and Selma found herself in need of a new family. Selma has just arrived in her IDR+ foster home, so we don't know much about her personality yet.  She is a bit afraid of other dogs right now, but after a few days in her foster home, she is okay after SLOW introductions. She is very polite on leash and doesn't pull.  She is a 2-year-old Saluki mix and has a vast vocabulary to "talk" to herself a lot.  She is extremely sweet and needs a home where she will be loved and treated with a kind and gentle touch.  Selma has traveled SO far from the deserts of Afghanistan; if you think you can be the "final destination" for this globetrotting young lady, email sizzledog@gmail.com for more information.
