HARRY IS IN A FOSTER HOME

Date of birth: 9/06

4/13/14: Harry is an adorable little Chihuahua. He's very friendly and funny and cuddly. He loves to be held. He is 7 years old and weighs 6 lbs. Harry will need a home without young children since he's a tiny guy with fragile little legs.

Harry gets along with other dogs but, understandably considering his size, dogs who are bigger or more active can scare him. He enjoys smaller dogs.

Harry is hypothyroid and requires medication. He's good about taking his pills and the cost is very reasonable. Harry is house trained. He's been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms.

Harry doesn't bark much at all when he's with people. He does bark when he is crated. We're not certain if he would bark too much when left alone in an apartment or condo where he'll have close neighbors. He is in a foster home where someone is home a lot, so it may depend on how much he'd be left alone in his new home.

We do know that it takes a secure fence to keep him in-- he can and will squeeze through the smallest of spaces!

All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. > An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements. If you decide you'd like to adopt one of our dogs, we reserve the pet for you but we generally don't send the dog home with you that same day.
