Tulip Pit Bull Terrier Normal, IL

Tulip is a one and one half year old, female American Pit Bull Terrier. She just LOVES people and is super playful! You have not experienced pure dog joy until you have seen dear Tulip do her happy dance. It is a delight to behold. Tulip was found as stray and was not reclaimed from Animal Control. This lovely gal is well obedience trained: she knows sit, stay, shake, high five, down, etc., plus she does tricks. Tulip is house trained- in fact, she never potties in the house. Tulip weighs about 55 pounds and is a beautiful golden color. Besides being a very pretty girl she is also super sweet, very smart, and she loves toys and playing with her favorite people. . Tulip's foster mom told is this about her: "Give this girl a chance. I've had her less than a week, and have fallen in love with her. She brings happiness to everyone around her! *Very playful *Cuddly *Listens well *Loves to give kisses *Lazy once she winds down for the night, and lazy in the morning (likes to sleep in). Tulip is completely housebroken. I've been taking her on long walks the last few days. Two of them were for over an hour, which she seemed to enjoy. She also likes to fetch, play tug o' war with toys, and play wrestle. She pulls a little on the leash, but I'm working with her on heeling. She also does much better with a harness than a collar. She will practically choke herself with a collar, if she's excited by squirrels or other dogs Negative traits: Not any that I've really noticed. She often jumps up on new people to greet them (let's play!), but she calms down after a minute or two. She warms up to people quickly. She is so playful and has a sweet demeanor about her. Her face is gorgeous, and she looks like she's smiling much of the time. Tulip is content and non-destructive alone during the day, but she clearly loves it when I get home. She loves to give kisses!! This dog brings me nothing but joy when I'm with her." We would prefer Tulip go into a home with no other dogs as she is particular about which dogs she likes.  Older children would be best. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heart worm and fecal checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Tulip’s minimum adoption fee is $95.
