Milo Rat Terrier Ionia, MI

Milo is a 2 1/2 year old Rat Terrier, that was found as a stray and brought to a local shelter. He was very thin and was understandably scared to be there. He has been in a foster home for a while now, and has since gained some weight and has started to come out of his shell; even playing with the other dogs in the house and restling with them over the toys.  He loves to be with his people, snuggle on your lap and go for walks. He gets along with dogs of all sizes and cats, but we are not sure of children. He is crate-trained; though it really shouldn't be necessary as he appears to be completely potty-trained. He enjoys both wet & dry food, and likes the occasional thin rawhide chew to keep his teeth clean. He enjoys sleeping in the bed with his people if allowed, otherwise is happy to sleep on his own bed - free or crated. He does not show any signs of food aggression. He does not appear to enjoy going for car rides; showing signs of motion sickness in the past. He would make a good protector, as he will growl and bark when he hears something out of the ordinary, but is so well behaved that his bark would be just a warning only. Milo would make an excellent companion, either for a single person or family. He has had all his shots, neutered, micro-shipped, heart worm negative, and taking heart worm & flea preventatives.
