09/02/12  Aby came to us from a local high volume facility and we are so happy to have been able to rescue her. She was surrendered to them because the place that they lived no longer allowed pets.  She is friendly with people and other dogs and she loves being walked and petted.  She's a young girl who should be in a forever home and not spending her young years homeless. But she is also pretty calm  and settles down nicely in the house. She also rides very well in the car and loves her dog bed. Aby is a gentle, sensitive soul that loves to give kisses! The Delco SPCA is funded solely by adoption fees and donations. Adoption fees vary per animal, please call the Adoption Center and reference this animal's ID number in order to obtain accurate fee information.  The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed blend. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Our adoption requirements and a printable application form may be found here. All pets are altered, vaccinated and microchipped. Upon adoption you get a new leash and collar, a 5lbs. bag of food, 10 days of free post-adoption veterinary care at the Center and a complimentary vet visit at a local participating veterinarian. Plus unconditional staff love and support!
