Teddy loves to be with his people, is a bit of a talker, and doesn't like being left alone. (Another dog will not work as company.)  He wants someone who works from home or can take him to work where he can hang out in his crate and gnaw on a bone.  He loves taking walks and running around at the beaches and grassy fields, and he loves playing tug. Great as an only dog as he wants allll your love and attention but he will do fine if the other dog is respectful and gives him his space as he's not interested in play. 

He is 4yrs old, @15lbs and quite the looker! People think he's a puppy or a mini husky with his short haircut! He will need to be groomed periodically for haircuts so please keep that into account in your finances.

Teddy can be a little fearful around certain pedestrians and male joggers (arf!) but with reward based training, he will focus on you and the treat and ignore the things that make him feel insecure. He's very food motivated and already knows quite a few tricks and commands. Teddy is a good watch dog and will let you know when someone's at the door. Though not a lap dog, he is quite the snuggler, loves to be petted and to be next to his people. Teddy needs to be taken out for walks for potty every 4-5 hrs or so as he's a little guy and it's harder for small breeds to hold it for long periods of time. He's good waiting longer overnight. Teddy is slightly possessive of his food/treats, but his fostermom is able to have him leave a treat alone or another dog's food alone with a firm "leave it!" and can also gently take a marrow bone away from him.  

Teddy likes girls but is fearful around boys, (arf arf) so if there are kids in the home, they should be respectful, 8 and older and female.  If they are boys, you and the kids need to be experienced and willing to work with Teddy to get him used to the boys. He currently lives in a fosterhome with all adults.  A mellow home for Teddy is best. 

Teddy's forever home either needs to know how to handle and approach insecure dogs or be willing to learn! His fostermom will run you through the "Teddy steps". It's all very easy:-)
