Franky Poodle & Terrier Mix Fort Worth, TX

My name is Franky and I am about 1 year old. I am a mix of a poodle and a terrier – so you get the best of both worlds … not much shedding and lots of personality!  I am the happiest go lucky dog you will ever meet.  Actually I have never met anyone that I didn’t like or that didn’t fall in love with me.  My adorable little underbite is to die for… I mean how can you resist?  I ended up as a stray because my first family didn’t love me enough to get me neutered and microchipped.  Luckily I ended up on the front porch of a Buster’s Friends volunteer’s house and poof I hit the jackpot.  I get along great with everyone – people, cats and other dogs.  I love going to dog parks and have play time with my canine friends and other people.  I literally will give you hugs, be by your side at all times, sleep with you, etc.  I do get a little sad when you leave me and I have to go in a crate.  I would do best in a home with kids and/or other animals because I am so sociable and need interaction!  Or a stay at home kind of person who I can shadow all day.  I have terrier energy and can run laps for hours so I do need a yard where I can exercise, play and explore.  Or at least someone who likes to go to parks and have fun! I can sit on command and I’m housebroken for the most part but at times I still do like to mark things as mine (I really only do this when I’m taken to a new place). I weigh in at about 18 lbs – I may look big but I am just tall – a model would be jealous of my long lean legs.  People tell me I am such a special dog – I overheard them saying I have changed the lives of so many people with my hugs, personality and charm.  But please know I am very sensitive - I want my next home to be the loving one I deserve.  Oh – I may have energy but I love to cuddle too!


Franky is around 1yr old and about 18lbs. Updated on shots, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $125.

*Dogs are available the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 11am-3pm.
