Dearest Reader,


Please let me tell you a bit about myself. I am Warrick, given the title of Lord due to my regal bearing and serene countenance. I cannot spell out for you my previous names, though I am convinced that somewhere, my first family is looking for me. They cared enough to neuter me but, alas, they did not have me micro-chipped, so none of the lovely people I have encountered since getting lost have been able to reunite me with them. My foster mother says I have a thousand-yard stare, like a soldier who has seen too much battle and death. I am very mellow, and loving of humans, to the point of even letting them vaccinate me without much protest; I am, however, wary of all other animals. I am not aggressive toward them, just particular about my personal space. It took nearly a fortnight for me to acclimate to my foster siblings, but now I wrestle with the one who roughhouses, accept kisses from the one who loves, and call the dog my comrade.


Let me say it plainly: I am in need of a forever home. All this moving about lately has me a bit on edge. It will be nice to feel at home again, to stop traveling so. I have had enough of car rides and first meetings.


Please do not mistake me as bitter. I have led a full life and seen my share of adventure - even had my tail broken - now I need to rest, eat good food and just love someone for the rest of my days. I purr a lot, and eat heartily, and sleep when I think no one is paying attention. When I am rested, I go looking for attention, pluffing my foster mother with my big front paws and angling to get her fingers on my head. I have a broad face and head, lots of surface area for scritches. I cannot get enough scritches; I think I shall go find some now.


My foster mother will accompany me to PetCo on Bay Area Boulevard at Space Center on Sunday. I look forward to making your acquaintance then.

Our animals show at various adoption locations on the weekends.  We're usually at Petco League City on Saturdays (12 to 4) and Petco Clear Lake on Sundays (11 to 3).  We sometimes show at Petsmart League City, too!  If you would like to meet a specific kitty, please email us beforehand, and we'll make sure it's there.  You can download an Adoption Application from our petfinder homepage, and fill it out ahead of time, for faster service.  If you can send it to us a couple of days ahead of time, you may be pre-approved to adopt, before you even meet your new pet!  Then, we'll try to bring it to the location that's most convenient for you :-)
