Max is a very energetic BT. He is a very good boy that wants to please. He is full of love to give and loves getting it back in the form of belly rubs and snuggling with his people on the couch. In fact, snuggling on the couch is one of his favorite things to do.

Max is a wonderful dog but he needs a very special family.

The right family for Max will need to be “dog savvy”, patient, and have the desire to give this guy the love and training that he needs to be the very best dog he can be.

When meeting new dogs, Max must be supervised. He gets along very well with the dogs in his foster home. This kinship came after his foster Mom spent time integrating him into this new pack. Max has met the house cats but he is learning to leave them alone because they don’t like him. He is able to coexist with the cats however. This is also due to training on the part of his foster Mom. He will periodically want to give chase with the cats but a quick "leave it” gets his attention and he will leave the cats alone.

For a short time Max lived in the same house with a toddler and they loved to play together. Max was good with the toddler. With the proper training for Max and the children in the house Max would be good with children. However, he would probably do best with older children because of his energy level.

So, if your family can give Max the training, supervision, bunches of love, and "be the leader of the pack" that he needs, please fill out an application to adopt him. If you can show Max that you love him but that you are the “pack leader”, you will have a dog that will show you a lifetime of love and devotion.

He’s a great dog who is waiting for that the special person to be the right leader.
