Olive Oil Rat Terrier Mix Somerset, KY

This little girl was rescued from the PC Animal Shelter.  She was not getting adopted because she has a past injury to her pelvis.  She has a scar and some atrophy, but can still walk, run, and play.  She cannot jump though.  She is only 4 months old (as of August 2012), so must have gotten the crush injury when she was very, very young.  The vet thinks she was either stepped on or run over.  She only weighs 8#, is utd on shots and will be spayed at 6 months.  She doesn't seem to know that she is different, but she may have some residual problems throughout her life.  She is housetrained already, is smart and minds well, stays when told, and she gets along very well with other dogs, cats, and children.  Sometimes her back legs cross when she walks/runs.  Also, sometimes when she sits she is actually on her knees and her back legs are crossed behind her.  I gave her the name Olive Oil because of the skinny legs that don't always go in the right direction.  I call her Olive, though. She is a very sweet girl, that needs a loving home where she will be safe and well cared for.
