My Story: I was brought to a shelter in Fairmont, MN because my owners did not like how much attention I paid to the infant in the family.  I also lived with a two year old child and I did great with him/her.  i spent a couple months in this shelter and finally made the trip up to the Twin Cities for more chances at adoption opportunities!  So far I am loving the "big city" life!


Hobbies: Playing with toys and people, going for walks.  I went to this thing called a "dog park" and I had so much fun playing with all the other dogs there! 


Commands/Tricks: I know Sit, Stay, Lay Down, and Bang (Play Dead)


Crate / Potty Trained: Yes to both! 


Activity Level: Medium/High: I like to go for walks and play but I do settle down quickly when I come inside.


Fun things I do: When I get really excited- like going outside or seeing new people- that I jump straight up with all feet off the ground!  Can we say AGILITY CANDIDATE?? 


Socialization/who I currently live with: My foster home consists of three adults- two women and a man- and a smaller, mature dog.


My Ideal Family: My ideal family will enjoy playing with me outside and taking me for walks.  They will want to spend a lot of time with me, as I want your attention!  Since I am a "talker" when excited, I am not the best candidate for apartment or townhouse living.

Rusty is attending Pet Haven's medium/large dog adoption events and his adoption fee is $300 (cash or check only) and includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccinations, and microchip and registration.


Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 60-mile radius of the Twin Cities area.
