Suskwa-update! Husky Mix Vancouver, BC

This beautiful girl is looking for her forever home! We're totally shocked that she hasn't been snapped up yet as she is, hands down, the NICEST Husky we've had all year! We thought we had a great home for her, but after a week trial, it was decided that Suska thought the cats were just a "little too fun to chase around" so we would like to match her with a "catless home." Suskwa is really social with other dogs big and little (she's our resident shelter dog socializer extraordinaire!), housebroken, and well behaved when left alone in the house. She would love to find a physically fit home to enjoy daily adventures with. She is an athletic breed, but not a hyper personality - very sweet, friendly and lovely all around. She is easy to walk on leash too (unusual for a lot of Huskies who are "natural sled dogs at the end of a leash" by nature...) and that beautiful plume tail of hers is easily seen swaying down the sidewalk.


Please do some research on Huskies to see if this is the right breed for your lifestyle. She does have a longer coat than some Huskies, particularly her tail, so weekly brushing will be important to keep her looking as pretty as she is.  This breed are not the kind of dogs that would enjoy being left alone outside in the yard for hours upon end, and she readily likes being outside with company, but is well behaved inside if alone. Huskies are curious, intelligent and entertaining spirits, and Suskwa certainly is a gem of a Husky all around!


Our adoption fee is $295 (including tax) for all dogs/puppies. Our sweet senior dogs (7+ year olds)  are $79 to adopt. ALL adoptions include the spay/neuter, vaccination, microchip and a free vet check! Hours for adoption viewings are Mon - Friday from noon until 6 pm, and Sat/Sun from 10 - 4 pm. Please be advised that most of our dogs are strays, so we typically do not have background history on them.
