** ADOPTED ** Thank you to everyone who wanted to provide Boromir with a loving home! Unless otherwise requested, any adoption applications we received will be kept on file for future adoption consideration.
Name: Boromir Age/Gender: Baby (born 5/9/12), Male Breed: Pitbull Terrier mix Temperment: Mellow, independent Weight: ~15 lbs House Training: He's just a pup so he'll need a consistent schedule while he gets it down pat! Crate Training: He's working on it! Other Dogs: Great! Cats: Will be fine with dog savvy cats and proper introduction/socialization Children: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older Adoption Donation: $400 Health: Boromir is healthy! He is neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. In addition, all pets adopted from Motley Zoo come with 30 days of free pet insurance provided by Shelter Care.
History: Boromir found himself in a local WA shelter. Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find him a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do!
Notes from Boromir's Foster Home: Boromir is an unique and interesting pup. He seemed shy and standoffish at first but he has started to open up as he becomes more comfortable. While Boromir does enjoy being around people, he seems to prefer to hang out with other animals. He loves spending time with his foster sister, Alexa, and will often crawl over her while she’s lying down. He would do very well with an older dog in the home that he can pal around with. Boromir is also a pretty mellow pup and spends a lot of time sleeping, although he does enjoy playtime with his sibling, Aragorn. He also tends to be independent and loves to be outside. You can often find him rolling in sunny patch of grass. Boromir does tend to have a stubborn streak and can be very vocal when he doesn’t get his way so obedience training will be important for this guy. He does like to cuddle occasionally, but on his terms. He also doesn’t care to be held, he's usually happier to sit at your feet and be petted. He does know how to sit and is learning to go into his pen at night on command. Leash training has been a bit more difficult, but it’s getting there. Could this strikingly handsome guy be a good fit for your family?
All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs.
Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization that is run entirely by volunteers. Motley Zoo does not have a brick and mortar shelter location. Instead, all our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. Please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application and we will work toward approving you as an adopter with our rescue so that we can set a time for you to meet!
