Meet Ace

We will not be showing dogs until Science Based Home restrictions are lifted for non-essential businesses but are reviewing applications for the best fit for each dog.

Come meet Ace! He is a wonder, majestic dog, who loves to be by your side. Ace is a calm boy after he gets past some immediate and short lived enthusiasm after being crated. He knows basic commands but is always willing to learn more, especially if treats are involved in the learning process. Ace will put a smile on your face even when you are feeling down. He is always there for you and just wants to share his life with you. Ace will provide his new forever home with a constant feeling of happiness as he shows you just how grateful he is to have a special guardian for life. Ace is currently in a foster home with other dogs. He is calm during his crated time and loves to relax on the couch, but also loves to go on walks! Looking at Ace’s pictures you can see how much he loves being around people, as he stares back at the camera. Life is more enjoyable with a pooch like Ace in it to share it with. Ace’s Wisdom Panel Professional DNA test results show the he a mixed breed that includes Miniature Short Haired Dachshund and American Staffordshire Terrier with traces of Boston Terrier, Tibetan Terrier, Wire Fox Terrier, Nova Scotia Duct Tolling Retriever, and Bull Terrier. Ace is house trained and crate trained, so he is all ready for his new home! If you are interested in finding out more about Ace, please fill out a Guardian Application.

Important - Please Read!

The Adoption process is designed to help place dogs with homes that are in the best interest of the dogs and their human companions. The adoption process starts with a prescreen review of a Guardian Application. Making decisions about dog placement in adoptive homes is an "art", not a "science", and there will be times when applications will be denied for various reason(s). This is left to the discretion of the MAPS Review Team after reviewing relevant information. MAPS reserves the right to make all decisions regarding placement or final disposition of any rescued dog in its care into a foster or adoptive home. There is no guarantee that any applicant(s) requesting to adopt a dog being fostered through MAPS, or posted on MAP's website, will be granted an adoption.

After a successful prescreen, including background checks, the applicant(s) are notified that they can visit the dogs and a time slot is made for the dog and applicant interaction. After the interaction we encourage several days of reflection before adopting a pet to help assure this will be a lifetime commitment of love and quality care for the dog. Next we conduct a home/neighborhood visit to the Guardian Applicant's home. If the home visit proves successful the new mom and/or dad of the dog will sign an Adoption Agreement and share a lifetime of love!
