(ADOPTED!) KAYA German Shepherd Dog Surrey, BC

KAYA HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!  is an adult-to-senior German Shepherd Dog appearing single breed. She appears to be about 10 years old, or possibly a little bit younger. Although she is graying with age and getting a little bony, Kaya is still full of youthful energy and enjoys her daily exercise.


Kaya reportedly had a BFF Labrador with whom she was impounded, but her buddy was redeemed and Kaya's owners never came to claim her. Kaya misses her friend and her home too. We would love to see Kaya get another home of her own, this one a forever one. Senior dogs can be very rewarding to adopt - they may not be here for a long time, but they are definitely here for a good time.


Kaya has a lot to say and isn't shy about saying it loudly, so she would probably annoy your neighbours if you left her alone in the backyard. Instead, Kaya would like a comfy dog bed in your family room, and daily walks on leash around the neighbourhood. She needs a little more work on leash walking as she likes to announce her boredom whenever the walk is halted for more than a moment, but if you keep her moving, she keeps her long face quiet ;-)


 


Kaya is probably not suited to a home with small children, as she deserves to spend the rest of her life unmolested by tiny hands, and she also is a little too enthusiastic about snarfing treats out of those pesty fingers that just get in the way of the good stuff.
