Meet Lewie!


Lewie is a three or four year old Rat Terrier. He is about 14 inches at the shoulder and weighs around 17lbs. He is crate trained, house trained and rides well in the car. He is very affectionate with his family; he has been with children as young as five and does very well with them. He is a little bit playful with the cats in his foster home so a shy kitty would not be a good match for him but he gets along fine with other dogs. He is practicing leash walking but still needs some training with it. There are just too many good sights and smells! Lewie has plenty of energy but is not "hyper" like some terriers, he really enjoys sitting with his favorite person as much as he enjoys play time and walks.


Adoption Process: We are not first come first served. Indigo Rescue focuses on finding good matches between dogs and families to ensure life long adoptions. We deliver all dogs to their new homes.


All of our dogs are in foster homes. We have adoption events at the Beaverton PetSmart every other Saturday where you can meet many of our dogs at once. Click Here for our Calendar of Events. Adoption Fee: $150 for larger adult dogs, $250 for small adult dogs and puppies of any size.
