Meet Tayter

Aloha everyone….. I would like to introduce my self and tell you all about me. I have an awesome and unique name. Tayter, when my Mom got me, she said I was just like a little Tayter tot. I think that in itself is a great reason to adopt me, a unique name, you can tell all your friends about. I am a pretty cream/yellow. My family is very sad to find a new home for me but their life has changed and they want a home that can give me the attention I was use to getting.

I am a HAPPY HAPPY lab. The nice Brookline lady said, she never saw a dog’s tail wag so much. It just wagged and waged and wagged, so if you are looking for a little happiness in your life, I am the girl for you. On the down side, my tail wags so much, I can clear a table, with one wag. So, that may be one of my few downfalls, you will need to be trained to keep the table clear.

The other thing that you will find amazing…I am good with cats. I use to live with a cat and we got along great. I don’t need to chase any cat that is what a tennis ball for. I am also good with other dogs, I have a few doggie friends I pal around with. I use to go to doggie day care, but that was when lived in the Windy city. (Chicago) I am an only dog in the house right now, so if I have a fur bros. or sister, that would be ok.

As for kids, there too I am ok with kids. There is a toddler in the house, so pretty much you can say I watched the little tike grow up from just a baby. I have been around older kids as well, so I am good with kids too, especially if they play ball with me.

Did I mention I liked to play ball. I do love a good game of tennis. I also love to swim, play at the park, take a walk, and take a ride in the car. I am an easygoing lab. Once all the activity is done, I like to just chill in the house.

I am great in the house, I do not need a crate and have not been in one since I was a puppy. I am not sure how I would be if I got put back in one. My only flaw other then clearing a table, is I like to chew paper. So if you have kids and they are missing their homework, the excuse the dog ate my homework maybe true. I also could chew up a bill or two for you if you like. I just like paper that you write on, not tissues (yuck, who wants to chew a dirty tissue).

Now that you have heard all about the wonderful dog I am, I know you will be surprised to learn I am 8 years old. Wow, where did those 8 years go. I can not believe it, bet you can not believe it either. With my age comes my only health issue, I do have a little arthritis from an old hip injury. So I will need to be on Cosequin or a similar arthritis supplement to keep my joints in shape. Your vet can help you decide what is best. I would do better also if you have area rugs or rugs, so my little paws do not slide on the floor. I do need help down flights of stairs (I can do short flights). The nice Brookline lady said this is easy to help a dog do, with a harness. I just need a little support.

So lets review, I am good with kids, cats and dogs. I am super Happy. I like to play, swim and go for walks. I can be left alone in the house. So are you going to let a little thing like age and some arthritis stand in the way of us being a family…..So send in you application Wiki Wiki (quickly), I don’t want you to miss out on this wonderful opportunity. Maloha, Tayter.
