Marty Beagle & Shepherd Mix West Windsor, NJ

Marty was 7.5 months old on 12-4-12. There were five boys in the litter, He is a happy puppy who is enthusiastic about everything that takes place in his temporary surroundings at APAW. Human companionship and serious cuddling are top priorities with Marty. The wading pools and frequent dips added fun to playing and social interaction with other APAW puppies and dogs during the warmer months.  Learning to share and "play nice" are just part of fun-filled days. Lightning, thunder, rain....who cares! Toys and plenty of rawhide are available 24/7. Merrick knuckle bones are a huge favorite. Pup-Peroni and peanut butter stuffed Kongs are what puppy dreams are made of. Unstuffed critters are the coolest things ever! Raw carrots are a healthy treat everyone enjoys crunching. Especially when served cold.  Marty  comes when he is called and is always praised for doing so. Purina puppy chow is the favorite dry food and it is his main diet. He has had three distemper combo vaccinations, two bordetella vaccinations and a one year rabies vaccination. Marty is microchipped and was neutered 9-13-12. He is parasite free, inside and out. Heartworm preventative is administered monthly. When the the doors are closed Marty  uses papers in the office. But when the doors are open he goes outside.Although he has not had the opportunity to be housebroken we know he will be a quick study. He shows this each day at the shelter. Mom is a beagle mix.
