Meet Peggy Sue-HELP!

Latest News as of Monday, July 23rd...

Peggy Sue has arrived at the shelter and is ready to start her search for her new forever home! She has healed and is able to get around so well on her broken leg that we decided not to amputate. We can't say for sure that later on she may not still need it removed but as of right now she gets around fine and is not in any pain so we decided it was best for her to keep her leg. Come meet this sweet girl at the shelter!

HOW CAN I HELP...

M-E-O-W ... THANK YOU!!

We really appreciate the tremendous outpouring of support for Peggy Sue. You all are very generous and caring! If you are still looking to donate we would greatly appreciate it. Many people are also expressing interest in adopting this sweet girl. She won't be available for adoption for at least a few weeks. It will be very hard to pick the perfect family. There are many other homeless kittens in need though so if you aren't able to adopt her you can still help out by adopting one of her friends. Thank you for caring! Please continue watching for updates on this special little girl.

WANT TO MEET ME...

Meet PEGGY SUE!! This poor little girl (guessed to be only about 6 weeks old) was found laying in horrible shape on 696, we believe she was likely thrown from a car window. We will never understand how human beings can be so cruel. Lucky for Peggy Sue, a very nice lady stopped to help her and took her to one of our vets. This poor little girl has a severely fractured leg and will need her leg amputated. She is also suffering from an upper respiratory infection. AWS is paying to have the surgery done and treating her for her cold. As you all know these types of services are very costly.

She will also be looking for her new forever home once she has recovered. PEGGY SUE will take a little time to recover, so we're not sure when she will be available for adoption. Her story will be kept up to date right here on Petfinder, so check back soon.

There are also many other adorable cats and dogs looking for their forever home today at the AWS Shelter. Many of the cats are cat and dog friendly. All are looking for a good home. Won't you stop by today. The AWS shelter is located at 27796 John R Road in Madison Heights. The shelter is open for adoptions Monday thru Friday from 11 am to 5 pm and Saturdays from Noon until 3 pm.

You can check out her story from Channel 4 News online
